There is no greater annoyance than having to cancel outdoor plans and gatherings because of the irritation of mosquitoes. Even more concerning can be the diseases that are spread by such pests. Luckily, we here at Mosquito Fighters understand your concerns and nuisances and are here to make the comfort of your backyard more enjoyable! Even more, we want to educate the members of our community in order to safeguard them, their families, and even pets, from the harmful diseases that can be spread by mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas.
Our team has a well developed and effective program in place to rid your property of unwanted pests. Such pests are most active during the month of May and through the month of September. Therefore, our services include sprayings in 30-day intervals during these months to ensure that a well defended barrier is installed against misquotes. Not only this, but we understand the concerns of our fellow community members.
Our team not only has the experience of spraying agricultural products for the past 30 years, but we have also grown up in the Monclova community as a farming family. Because of this, it is our mission to take the concerns of our community close to heart and are ready to knock out mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas from their backyards!
While mosquitoes are an annoying pest, they are also capable of carrying and spreading harmful and dangerous diseases. A short, but not exhaustive list of such diseases are as follows:
Malaria, Chikungunya, Yellow Fever, Zika, West Nile Virus, Dengue Fever
Also of concern for our customers are their well loved pets, such as dogs and cats, who enjoy spending their time outdoors as well. For these members of our families, mosquitoes can pose a risk to them by spreading certain diseases and parasites such as follows:
Eastern Equine Encephalitis, Heartworm, Louis Encephalitis
While this may all raise some concern, Mosquito Fighters are here to knock out your mosquito fears. Our excellent and well-trained team are equipped with the materials and knowledge needed to squash mosquitoes early in order to help keep our community stay safe. Mosquitoes are known to breed in areas of standing water such as gutters, pools, tree-lines, and even flowerpots. Upon inspection of your yard, our team will formulate a plan and acquire the necessary equipment to spray your property and knock out the mosquitoes before they can populate your outdoor space!
Just as great a concern as mosquitoes are fleas! Most people commonly will associate fleas with itchy bites or the rashes on either themselves or their pets. However, similar to mosquitoes, fleas are also known to carry diseases. Perhaps the most at risk from fleas are your pets or other animals. Fleas secure hosts in warm-blooded animals and can consume 15 times their own body weight in blood. With this significant amount of blood loss over time, individuals can be presented with anemia or even tapeworms. What makes these bugs a threat to your family is how active and quickly they can re-populate themselves. A single flea can bite up to 400 times in one day, and a female flea is capable of laying 2,000 eggs. Because of this, it is a smart idea to take preventative measures to keep your outdoors area safe. Once again, Mosquito Fighters are here to help provide you and your family protection from these nasty pests! Do not be fooled, while Mosquito may be in our name, our sprays are also targeted at flea defense to provide your home with the best preventative methods out there!
Another nasty pest capable of bringing harm to your family are ticks. Ticks are yet another common type of pest and are in fact some of the most efficient carriers of disease. Ticks can carry pathogens for ten different human diseases and spread critical diseases such as Lyme disease, Anaplasmosis, and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. These unpleasant bugs are able to transfer these diseases to humans and animals by attaching to the host and sucking their blood. Due to their small size and their slow rate at which they feed, ticks are able to go unnoticed for a long time while still feeding on their host. Ticks often live in shrubs and grassy areas; they are transferred to their host by just simply brushing up against them. Because of this, tick prevention is also a good idea for people spending time outdoors. Luckily, Mosquito Fighters are also equipped to handle tick problems! In fact, our sprays practically do it all and meets your needs for backyard safety. Our sprayers will target areas in your backyard that will serve as thriving grounds for ticks, setting up a defensive barrier to keep your backyard tick free.
When you contact Mosquito Fighters, a trained and experience sprayer will come right to your home to perform the spraying. In order to allow for a careful and effectual spray, the individual will carry a backpack sprayer where they will then target plants and shrubs. Our sprays work by immediately killing mosquitoes on contact and then bonding to the plants and shrubs to prevent and repel mosquitoes and other pests for the next several weeks. It takes no longer than 30 minutes for the spray to dry, making your yard ready for family and pets to enjoy!
Standard Barrier Spray
The standard barrier spray uses a chemical called pyrethroids which are synthetic forms of the common insecticide pyrethrin. Pyrethrin comes from a naturally occurring compound called pyrethrum which originally comes from chrysanthemum flowers. In fact, the main chemical ingredient, pyrethroid, is very common and used in many commercial consumer products to keep away insects. Such products include lice shampoos, insecticides for pets, and even shampoos and sprays for pets. Ultimately, you can be sure that while our standard barrier spray will get the job done, it will also ensure your backyard is still a safe environment for your family and pets!
Another spray that we offer is our all-natural mosquito repellent, composed of essential oils and garlic. The garlic and essential oils are combined in a water mixture that serves as a low dose application and repels mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas from your backyard. Due to the more natural ingredients, this spray does not have the same adhesive properties as our standard barrier spray. However, this spray is just as effective in repelling unwanted pests and only requires a more frequent spraying cycle, about 14 days.
Mosquito Fighters stand by our sprays and we want to work with you in order to find the perfect fit for your backyard! We are happy to answer any questions and to offer help in determining the best fit for you. Give us a call today or send us an email to take the first steps in making your backyard a mosquito, flea, and tick free outdoor space for your family to enjoy all summer long!
