Ticks can carry pathogens for ten different human diseases and spread critical diseases such as Lyme disease, Anaplasmosis, and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. These unpleasant bugs are able to transfer these diseases to humans and animals by attaching to the host and sucking their blood. Due to their small size and their slow rate at which they feed, ticks are able to go unnoticed for a long time while still feeding on their host. Ticks often live in shrubs and grassy areas; they are transferred to their host by just simply brushing up against them. Spray Treatments
When you contact Mosquito Fighters, a trained and experienced sprayer will come right to your home to perform the spraying. In order to allow for a careful and effectual spray, the individual will carry a backpack sprayer where they will then target plants and shrubs. Our sprays work by immediately killing mosquitoes on contact and then bonding to the plants and shrubs to prevent and repel mosquitoes and other pests for the next several weeks. We are also equipped with a gator and fogging equipment for larger country properties that we will use in addition to the backpack sprayers. It takes no longer than 30 minutes for the spray to dry, making your yard ready for family and pets to enjoy!
Standard Barrier Spray
The standard barrier spray uses a chemical called pyrethroids which are synthetic forms of the common insecticide pyrethrin. Pyrethrin comes from a naturally occurring compound called pyrethrum which originally comes from chrysanthemum flowers. In fact, the main chemical ingredient, pyrethroid, is very common and used in many commercial consumer products to keep away insects. Such products include lice shampoos, insecticides for pets, and even shampoos and sprays for pets. Ultimately, you can be sure that while our standard barrier spray will get the job done, it will also ensure your backyard is still a safe environment for your family and pets!
All-Natural Spray
Another spray that we offer is our all-natural mosquito repellent, composed of essential oils and garlic. The garlic and essential oils are combined in a water mixture that serves as a low dose application and repels mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas from your backyard. Due to the more natural ingredients, this spray does not have the same adhesive properties as our standard barrier spray. However, this spray is just as effective in repelling unwanted pests and only requires a more frequent spraying cycle, about 14 days.
